Power Speaking and Listening

Students enrolled in the Power Speaking and Listening course will practice and improve their English through structured communicative activities and discussions. Teachers incorporate speaking and listening activities with careful attention to pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar use. Students are kept engaged and active throughout the class.

Students have the option to take the Power Speaking and Listening Course (2 hours/day) in addition to their Main Course (ESL, TOEFL, IELTS Preparation, CELPIP Preparation or Business English (2 hours/day) for a total of 4 hours per day in order to accelerate their learning. Students who take the Power Speaking and Listening course in addition to their Main course develop English fluency much faster and with greater ease.

English Testing

Students are assessed every fourth week in order to measure their progress. Assessment in Power Speaking and Listening is largely based on coursework and enables both teachers and students to track student success and determine necessary level progression.

Level Placement

Students take a placement test on their first day to determine their English level.

Students tested at level 9 or below are placed in General English.

Students who test at level 10 or above will choose an advanced level course.
